The Pet Nerd
Hi! My name is Jodi Harris and I aim to enrich the lives of my clients and their pets through positive reinforcement training.
I have worked with animals, both in large training schools and shelters, since 1999. I hold a Certificate II in Animal Studies, Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services through the Delta Institute and I also hold qualifications in Commerce, Management, and Personal Fitness Training. I am a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and Pet Professional Guild (AUS).
I am passionate about the training process and my clients goals.
I aim for my clients to gain confidence with their own abilities as trainers which in turn, improves their pets wellbeing. I remember what it can be like to feel helpless and overwhelmed by the behavior of my pets. My first dog suffered serious behavior issues, and this experience led me to leave my career in Accounting and pursue animal training and behavior modification. His name was Angus and he was my "inspiration, challenge and best friend".
I am a mum to two young girls, and in my spare time a Delta Dog Safe Volunteer delivering Dog Safe sessions to children, and I breed Siamese cats and Buff Orpington Chickens. I am a member of ANCATS and The Orpington Club of Australia.
I love people and their pets!
